Read Tim, an easy read that may change your outlook on love.

I first read this book as a teenager and loved it then. I accidentally found it again recently and discovered after a long over due reread, it's as great now as it was then. Even better really , considering that I can now appreciate it with maturity.
It's an intriguing story, gives you moment to pause and consider the nature of love between men and women, the need to love and be loved, unconditionally.
Tim is not sweet, but it does gives hope.

Great Read

I absolutely LOVED this book, by the author who wrote "The Thornbirds" (another great one). I am not even a big fan of straight out romance novels, but this story really touched me in its innocence and sweetness.
I caught the movie version of Tim on TV, back in my teens and have always wanted to read the novel. I was not disappointed. The book blows the movie way out of the water--but it definately didn't hurt that I had a young and gorgeous Mel Gibson in tight shorts to visualize while I was reading. ^_^
The only thing that threw me was the ending, which I found a bit abrupt and inconclusive, but perhaps the author ended it in that fashion to make a point that Mary's life with Tim was bound to be a bumpy ride in the furture.

I reordered the book because I purchased the 30th anniversary DVD release of the movie. THe book didn't hold up. The movie is where to experience 'Tim.'
