Quite a bit less than I expected.

The price was right (free) but definitely not worth much more. Several recipes had instructions for ingredients that were not included in the recipe. One had instructions to put the concoction in a bottle, but it was a recipe for a solid perfume. And exactly how much is a small chunk? If you're measuring and weighing your ingredients, why not specify exactly how much beeswax? I think I could make a good guess, but then I've had more than a little bit of experience using beeswax. A new perfume maker might not realize what too much beeswax would do, and even though these are small recipes no one wants to ruin their creations.

Everything smells divine now

This e-book provides a ton of wonderful sounding recipes for creating your own perfumes. I especially liked the variety of types of formulas included. There are instructions for making rich perfume oils, lighter body sprays (which also work great as room sprays), portable solid perfumes, etc.
Being new to this kind of DIY I also liked that there were many fragrance "recipes" included. The author does not simply say "add X drops of your favorite essential oil blend." She gives specific amounts of specific oils. After making a few recipes as instructed I did branch out and made my own blend. It turned out wonderfully, but for the first couple tries I was glad to have some guidance.
The only negative I've found is that there are some grammar issues. A few recipes seem to have had their instructions copy/pasted and it will say (for example) "add the lemon oil" where it should say "add the lavender oil."
Overall, though, this is a fantastic little book for at home fragrancers and DIY beauty fiends!

an intriguing collection of perfumes

A varied and interesting collection of perfumes. Instructions well written and easy to follow. I am looking forward to trying many of these for myself and for gifts. I only wish I had found a patchouli and rose, but I think I can tinker around with one or more of these and create one of my own.
