About the Author
Cameron Stewart is the illustrator of BATMAN AND ROBIN, SEAGUY, SEVEN SOLDIERS: THE MANHATTAN GUARDIAN, THE OTHER SIDE, CATWOMAN and many more. He has been nominated for Shuster, Eagle, Harvey and Eisner Awards, and his original webseries Sin Titulo won the 2010 Eisner and Shuster Awards for Best Digital Comic. He is currently writing BATGIRL for DC Comics.
Brenden Fletcher is a Canadian writer, best known for his work at DC Comics. He is currently co-writing the critically acclaimed bestelling series BATGIRL with Cameron Stewart, which has reinvigorated the franchise. Fletcher is also co-writing GOTHAM ACADEMY with Becky Cloonan, as well as the forthcoming BLACK CANARY.

Almost as good as Volume 1...

Another enjoyable installment of Batgirl but I felt like I couldn't enjoy it as well as the first volume because it became obvious you kinda need to be reading other books in the DC universe to know what's going on here. It wasn't totally problematic but I found myself a little confused as to why Jim Gordon was now Batman and in a robotic suit no less. I mean, yeah the blurb mentioned it but I didn't feel like I had enough info without having read those books too.
Overall, another fun read, I am loving the cast of characters so much. I'll definitely be in for Vol. 3!

Good Art; Not So Good Story

The best thing I can say about this book is that the artwork is gorgeous. The less said about the plot line and writing , the better. I found it to be at best confusing and at worst it has taken a strong female character and infantilized her to the point that she no longer represents any type of role model or interesting character. She’s now just another hipster wannabe and that is a disgrace to Batgirl’s history and the DCU.

Keeps getting better!

The Batgirl series continue to feature gorgeous art by Babs Tarr and Bengal along with smart storylines detailing Barbara Gordon's relationships with the residents of Burnside and features fan favorite villainess, Livewire and a reintroduction to baddie Velvet Tiger. A great, fun read that has humor, action, and even a little romance.
